Daily Camera announced this yesterday:

"After a week of scorching temperatures and a noticeable lack of rain,
Sheriff Joe Pelle announced a fire ban Tuesday for the western half of
Boulder County.  The ban will take effect at noon Friday, putting Boulder in
league with Larimer County, which has already enacted a ban, and several
other Front Range counties preparing for bans."
