With just six months until rumballs I figured this would be a good time to share the poem I wrote years ago for those that have not seen it... Flower

'Twas the night before festival
and all through the camp
everything was acoustic
no sign of an amp

All the tarps they were hung
strategically with care
to keep out the rain
but let in the air

A section of camp
was all in a hush
Awaiting the morning
and the big land rush

Then all of a sudden
there came a loud cry
Come get your rumballs
it's time to get high

There were doctors and lawyers
hippies and hikers
bartenders and salesmen
consultants and bikers

They all came together
for the music you see
and treated each other
like a big family

With the potlucks and pickin
the homebrew did flow
and everyone gathered
for the free box fashion show

All the vendors had set up
with items galore
from the beer booth to stir fry
and the Planet country store

From Town Park to Mill Creek
everything was alright
Happy Festival to all
and to all a good night

Oh Tom, I just LOVE it... I think you need to read it  at the "start of rumballs" - sort of a proclamation that "IT IS FESTIVAAAAALLLLLLL

With music in our lives we are able to express ourselves in so many ways, with instruments, vocals, dance and movement. This can be done solo or with others. Music is not only entertainment, it is a way of life.
